Back from Australia and using the techniques I practiced with mold making, using concrete and resins to create some large and small sculptures that will be part of a summer gallery show. The idea of a reliquary… preserving relics in a formal and sculptural way is appealing to me. I’m creating small relics for the reliquary.. based on organic, natural items from Australia. I’m looking forward to creating art from my seaweed collections and other small pieces of nature… adding embellishments of copper, sterling silver and bezels of glass!
This summer, I’m also going to offer workshops at my studio. It’s just too beautiful to stay inside!
Spring….. outdoors…… concrete, resin and nature!
